My website support includes daily checking of your website for updates to your core WordPress Installation, theme and all your plugins.
At the end of each month you get a 30 day report detailing all the updates and maintenance I have carried out over the period, along with some basic analytics, homepage loading performance and security checks.
What the report doesn’t show is that after every single update the website needs to be checked for errors, and the cache preloaded, so your visitors always experience your website in the way that it is intended.
WordPress and it’s related components are updated very often, both for functional improvements, and security updates; WordPress is the world’s most used content management system, and as such is the biggest target for hackers.
Sometimes (more often that I would like) the updates cause issues of their own – this then needs to be resolved, and can take hours or days.
Without a support contract in place, this can be a very expensive exercise to fall back on an hourly rate,
