Fixation Academy – Responsive Design
When I started working with Fixation Academy they were known as ‘Fixation Theatre’ – they had a partial website built on WordPress but had lost contact with the web designer who was working on it for them.
After an interview with Laura Devitt (Founder / Director) we agreed that I would build them a new website based on WordPress.
Laura was delighted with the outcome and was finally able to present her entire business online – their previous site had <10 unfinished pages – the new site had 80+ pages of SEO optimised, on brand, HTTPS content.
In 2020 the entire company was rebranded to ‘Fixation Academy’ – everything on the website was updated, domains moved and redirects put in place – all without any significant downtime.

Over the years I have supported the team through growth, adapting and improving the site to reflect their growing business.
This has included:
- Staff Training on website use
- Staff email support (password resets / device access etc)
- Accommodating/integrating SaaS facilities for their shop and booking systems
In 2021 I moved the site from a highly customised free template to the premium site builder theme Divi.
All site pages load in less than 3 seconds – all achieved on cheap shared hosting.
